OUR LOCAL PASTORS
New Leaf Church is a small, Bible-believing Christian church based in Sykesville, Maryland. We were planted from Oak Ridge Community Church in Clarksville, MD and remain actively connected as a sister church.
Our desire is to live as God’s children in our community and let His light shine through us to others.

Julian Smith
Originally from England and an avid soccer (I mean football) fan. Julian and his wife Marie reside in Woodbine, MD with their four children. Julian was ordained as a pastor in 2016 at Oak Ridge Community Church before helping launch New Leaf Church in 2022.
Mike Lowe
Mike and his wife Lisa live in historic Ellicott City, MD. They have 7 adult children and 15 grand children. Mike has been a pastor for 10 years beginning at Oak Ridge Community Church and now at New Leaf Church.
